Happiness Re-Minder
I sat down at my table a few days ago, and saw a little note laying there-- "well-being spell jar" it said. I don't remember writing it, but I've had creating a spell jar on my mind, since seeing that little scrap of paper.
This morning when I went downstairs, I was feeling quite happy with the world, saw the note again, and figured it was an excellent time to make a Happiness jar.
Being super conscious of my thoughts and feelings has been my focus lately, and with a heart and mind turning toward All The Best Things, I made my list:
"Happiness Requirements:"
What, truly, do I require for me to be Happy?
- Shelter.
- Food. (Zacatecas Enchiladas come to mind. Mmmmmm.)
- Survival Resources. (pet food, warmth, electricity, internet, good automobile, gasoline...)
Yes.
- Love.
- Beautiful things around me.
Now we're gettin' somewhere.
- Tea.
- Toys.
- Sparkles. (Joy, excitement, fun, bubbling forth.)
- Inspiration.
- Connection. (to The Universe, the Better Me that lives upstairs, alignment, etc.)
- Money.
- Nature.
- Adventure.
- Wishes.
Well! Just thinking on this list made me happy!
On I went, to collect my things for my jar.
Cinnamon for food. Why not? Cinnamon's got some serious magick.
Salt and Citrine for survival.
Sand I brought back from my favorite coast last year for big Adventures, and Topaz and Yellow Labradorite that I've collected from the desert for adventures closer to home.
Dandelion for Wishes.
A moon charm for Inspiration.
A skeleton key for Toys. (Because it's a good representation of what I consider my Toys.)
Rose Quartz for Love, rose petals from my backyard for Beauty, a favorite shell I found on the beach last fall for Shelter, peppermint from the garden for Tea, glitter for Sparkles, Amethyst for Connection, various coins for Money, and Mossy Agate for Nature-- because I love greenly things.
In the jar, on my altar, and lit up with a candle.
A gorgeous re-minder that clearly I and my immediate environment are well supplied with everything I need to turn towards Happiness and live in Joy.
I'm choosing that.
